North Carolina | Pleasure Island Dragon Boat Club After holding the first of which is now an annual Dragon Boat Regatta in Carolina Beach we had enough interest from participants to develop a club. Our mission is to offer the Dragon Boating experience to individuals with a serious interest in competitive dragon boating and those who would like to join in on a fun, good core workout on a weekly basis and participate in maybe one or two local events. Currently the club numbers over 30 and we new members are joining every day. We have plans for the acquisition of a Dragon Boat and equipment and should be training within the next 30-60 days.
