Birmingham Dragon Boat Festival
Join High Five and Ronald McDonald House Charities of Alabama for the inaugural Birmingham Dragon Boat Festival. Oak Mountain State Park will dazzle you with all it has to offer while hosting this event. Corporate and community teams from around the region will enjoy racing 3 times throughout the day on a 350m race course. This event also presents participants the opportunity to help with fundraising for Ronald McDonald House!

Join High Five and Gill Dawg in Port Richey on Sunday, April 27th for the Battle in the Bayou. Part of a weekend long festival called Pasco Paddlepalooza, the dragon boat races will be one of three paddling events. Teams will race on a 350m race course in front of Waterfront Park on Millers Bayou. The park is expansive with lots of room to relax in between races. Uptown Columbus is bringing the dragon boat races back for year two on the Chattahoochee RiverWalk! This year, we are allowing up to 45 teams to register. During this fun weekend of festivities, the CutBait Music Festival will be taking place on Friday and Saturday. Teams will be racing on 350m course in front of the Coca-Cola Space Science Center. Team tents will line the Riverwalk up to the Civic Center.

For the 6th year in a row, Serious Beachin' Fun is coming back to the Florida Keys! Marathon, FL is home to the Battle in the Bay Dragon Boat Festival where teams will have a festive day of fun in the sun. Beach loading and the salty Keys air make for this event truly unique. Racing takes place on a 400m course in front of Sombrero Beach, making it perfect for spectators to view.

998 Expo Boulevard Public Hearing – CAC contribution for a boathouse
Addressing an immediate need, a cash contribution for a Phase 1 floating and transportable Paddling Dock Centre to be constructed on the south shore of False Creek will provide much needed dock space, equipment and boat storage as well as essential service s for the 5000 paddlers and other non-motorized activity. Phase 1 is anticipated to be constructed in 2015. The balance of the $2.8 million from this rezoning will be held in reserve for future water based recreation projects…

The second of 3 events featuring our mini dragon boats in 2014. Teams can expect fun and challenging racing formats for this event. Teams that race in all 3 events will be qualified to vie for a series championship on October 4th in downtown Tampa, as well as receive a 20% discount on the series finale.

Seattle Dragon Boat Festival
The 11th Annual Seattle Dragon Boat Festival is scheduled for July 19th, 2014. More than 10,000 spectators will line the shores of South Lake Union to cheer on approximately 1000 local and visiting athletes. On shore an exciting lineup of professional entertainers will perform from the Seattle Dragon Boat Festival Stage. Artisans will demonstrate and display their crafts and there will be plenty of hands-on activities for visitors of all ages and abilities.

The 2014 Long Beach Dragon Boat Festival will be held at Marine Stadium in Long Beach on July 26 - July 27, 2013. In addition to hosting one of the largest dragon boat competitions in California, there will be Chinese traditional art demonstrations, Chinese Acrobats, traditional dance, hip hop, music and martial arts performances.
