Dragon Boat Races at the Sarasota Bay Water Festival

The Sarasota Bay Water Festival has added Dragon Boat Racing to its lineup of family friendly festivities! The purpose of the water festival is to celebrate the importance of Sarasota Bay to our region’s environment, economy and quality of life!
In addition to the Dragon Boat Races on Sarasota Bay, the festival will also include live music, food trucks and local restaurants, beer and wine garden, Arts Zone featuring fine artists and photographers selling unique gift items just ahead of the holiday season, the I Love Sarasota Bay Photo Contest, workshops that promote Bay-friendly living, vintage boats, kids stuff including a fishing clinic, dip netting and nature walks, plus exhibits promoting recreational boating, fishing, kayaking, paddle board sports, scuba diving, cycling, birding, and other fun activities associated with Sarasota Bay.
Forming a dragon boat team is easy! Included in your team registration is a practice session where we will show you how to paddle and race. Practices sessions and race day include all of the necessary equipment such as a boat, paddles, lifevests, a drum and a steersperson/coach. Find yourself 20 co-workers, friends and/or family members to join you in this exciting event!
