3rd Annual Carolina Beach Dragon Boat Regatta and Festival – Sept 19th, 2015

This is a two day Dragon Boat Event to raise money for “Step Up For Soldiers” an all volunteer 501.c.3 which helps disabled veterans, builds memorials to honor our fallen veterans and packages and ships out over 1000 care packages from home to men and women serving our country around the world. Friday night we kick things off with an outdoor concert by one of the top regional bands, food, beer, soft drinks and art vendors. Saturday is race day in the Carolina Beach Yacht Basin – a great protected body of water with marinas and multi-million homes along the course. Race ends right in the middle of our beach town as we use a huge T-Dock type private area of a large waterfront restaurant to board and embark from and return to as part of the race. Walk two blocks to the beach, or two blocks to the local boardwalk, visit cafes and tiki bars with live music on Saturday night as well. Great place for a short beach vacation and for Dragon Boating Fun.
