132nd annual DDRA Canada Day Regatta

This unique event is one of the oldest mixed regattas in the world. It runs on Canada Day (July 1st) annually and races alternate between canoe/kayak and rowing races since 1884, with dragon boat races added in 2003.
This is a small recreational regatta held on the scenic Toronto Islands on Lake Ontario with the city of Toronto skyline in the background. Dragon boat teams compete in three 500m races in the Community Division (recreational mixed teams), or one 250m race in the Spirit Challenge Division (teams of youth/adults with developmental disabilities). This event is not a Dragon Boat Canada qualifying event for the Canadian hampionships or the Club Crew World Championships. We would like to list our event here as it is unique in many ways and invite any team looking for a road trip!
