SUMMARY:Wilmington Dragon Boat Races at Riverfest
DESCRIPTION:For the first time\, Dragon Boats are joining Wilmington Riverfest! This wonderful festival in Downtown Wilmington\, NC is celebrating it’s 36th year\, and we have added a dragon boat race to the lineup of events! The dragon boat races will take place in downtown on the Northeast Cape Fear River. Team Village will be located on the riverfront lawn of the Wilmington Chamber of Commerce. The event is now open for team registration!\nForming a dragon boat team is easy! Included in your team registration is a practice session where we will show you how to paddle and race. Practices sessions and race day include all of the necessary equipment such as a boat\, paddles\, lifevests\, a drum and a steersperson/coach. Find yourself 20 co-workers\, friends and/or family members to join you in this exciting event! Learn more about forming a team… \nThe goals of Wilmington Riverfest are to benefit the Cape Fear River environment. To that end\, each year\, Riverfest donates to Cape Fear Community College Marine Sciences Division. As a part of Riverfest\, the Wilmington Dragon Boat Races will also strive to benefit the Cape Fear River environment. \n
